According to the CDC, there has been an increase of measles cases this year.

Measles includes symptoms such as high fever, red eyes, and a rash that begins on the face.

The CDC says the virus is contagious as it stays in the airspace when someone with measles has coughed or sneezed.

Ninety percent of the people who are not immune to the virus will likely become infected.

They also recommend getting the measles, mumps and rubella vaccine to prevent outbreaks.

Measles is especially unsafe for children under the age of 5 or adults over the age of 20.
