Retirement is now more difficult than it was in the past. I've been saving for a long time instead of investing, and right now I only have about $400K. considering all the inflation, i'm thinking of investing in stocks, i dont just have idea on market strategies.

Just remember kids:
Without money you will never be free
Edit: its funny how people are saying that Im wrong even though they all have full time jobs to get money

More and more people might face a tough time in retirement. Low-paying jobs, inflation, and high rents make it hard to save. Now, middle-class Americans find it tough to own a home too, leaving them without a place to retire.

How to retire in 7 years: work for 7 years then decide you need to keep working.

I have been a dividend focused investor for a long time. This does not mean I don't own growth stocks, I do. A well rounded portfolio should be a mixture of both categories. I invest in the market, but never put all my money in market.

My original retirement plan was to retire at 62, work part-time, and save money. However, high prices for everything have severely affected my plan. I'm concerned if people who went through the 2008 financial crisis had an easier time than I am having now. The stock market is worrying me as my income has decreased, and I fear I won't have enough savings for retirement since I can't contribute as much as before.

I just turned 44 and awfully late to investing with barely any portfolio except my 401k, I have a decent amount of cash saved up and with inflation currently soaring AGAIN, I’m getting worried about retirement, my intention is to retire at 55. How best do I maximize my savings of over $500k

How am I supposed to invest in real estate by doing a 9-5 😭

every $1 you invest today is a little bit of time that you buy back in the future, the more you invest, the more free time you can afford in the future, having time and the freedom to choose what to do are the ultimate investing goals.

I never thought a book could make such a difference, but The Manifestation Alchemy Doctrine changed everything for me. It’s not something you forget easily.

Now it’s like
1-work 1.5 9-5 jobs to pay bills
2-take a loan to buy equipment and start a side hustle
3-go broke paying for advertising in a market already dominated by companies that pay migrants and teenager Pennies to do work for predatory prices
4-get sued by the few people who do hire you because they just needed an insured company to take the fall for pre existing damage to their property
5-quit and go back to work 2 jobs to make the same as you made doing 1.5 the year before.

I’m sorry to break it to people but side hustling contract work is more expensive than most people think and the skills you need to learn, while not unattainable, can be the difference between making a couple hundred bucks a month after expenses and getting sued for tens of thousands. I quit my 9-5 to run a pressure washing company and doing it all by the book costs me as much as I used to make in a year before I can touch money. Don’t be fooled by YouTube admen who hook you into thinking you’ll make thousands a day spraying sidewalks with water and net six figures for yourself in a year. You’ll be lucky to walk away with half of that if you’re smart with money.

I'm convinced that investing 50k-100k in the right company before it goes big is more important than saving for retirement. However, picking the right company is so hard. I have around 200k in a HYSA and want to invest it. What are the best opportunities now?

Freedom is the goal, not money. Money is just a tool to do the things you want in life

Yeah, because ALL the money from the 9 to 5 job can be invested... No need for pesky food and home 'n stuff. Just straight into investment.

I love the last bit. I retired at 28 but really I just switched the word “retire” to “freedom”. I have so much more autonomy now than before, and I work part time. Love it!
