As an Italian I appreciated your correct use of "Brava" (not "Bravo", which is masculine) for the feminine grammatical gender!
👍👏👏❤

The ancient Greeks established colonies across the Mediterranean and that included Sicily. Really fascinating how their ruins are still so well preserved!

Of course! So many were the cities founded by the Greek in peninsular Southern Italy, that they called it "The Greater Greece" (Latin: "Magna Graecia") and they coined the word "Italiotai" applying not to all the inhabitants of peninsular Italy but only to ethnic-Greek ones... Nor was the situation so much different in the island of Sicily (Syracuse, Messane, Katane Akragas were only some of the many Greek cities: one of Greek historians called Akragas = Agrigentum "the most beautiful city ever built by men"). In a similar way to "Italiotai", "Sikiliotai" was the word for the Greek in Sicily..
---- EDIT: However, I think Segesta was founded by the Elymians, not by the Greek. Anyhow, they copied many features of Greek culture (for instance: the shape of the temple), just as all ethnicities come in contact with the Greek did (Elymians, Siculian, Etruscan, Roman ... and so on).

I was in Sardinia in the end of march…. The roman temples were so amazing… and they aren’t even the oldest ruins in sardina… there are even ruins from 1400 b.c.

And me and my classmates could not give a shit about the amphitheatre because they made us go all the way up there without a school bus, the school bus dropped us at like 1 hour and a half distance and It was flaming hot, so i have only a negative memory of It lol
