Have you ever fought with a modified philly shell or against someone with it. Atm i feel easy to counter but when i first start sparring someone i catch them with a lot of awkward angles.

Basically you philly shell then have you lead shoulder (looking 90° from straight on) facing their mid, leaning towards their power side. Straighten your arm so your lead fist is inline with your floating rib and your lead shoulder is still locked against your jaw. Then your rear hand comes over to your chin/lead bicep area to block. Lead parries and rear absorbs. Be prepared to take body shots and ready to punish with uppercuts and overhand rights. The best thing about it is you appear off balance when youre not encouraging them to push in. And when your arm appears straight you can generate 70-80% of the force of your jab and your hand maybe moves 3 inches. I usally do this by binding their arms, retracting on their move in so they think im dropping my guard and they usually end up going for a cheap check hook, especially the first few times which i block with the right.

Crossing the body with the arms unfortunately but as a 5'2 fighter you gotta be cunning and creative. Not to mention boxing up against a larger opponent just works sometimes. Letting them get confident, gassing themselves out while you're acting tired at the end of the first round. Then hslfway through 2 give them hell and in third you can go til your drop. At least thats my experience with fights. Aim to wear down and take damage in 1. In 2 bide your time til you're ready to strike. 3s time to make them regret body shots only against a stout fighter.

someone who can set or deliver punches in unusual angles will knock you out, it's always the punches you don't see that will get you.
