2024 dream desk and room upgrades! With 2024 now underway I felt it was time to create a new video going over some important changes I've made to my latest dream desk setup along with some additions to the room in general. With my new hobby of 3D printing, a new gaming pc upgrade, and a lot of peripherals, there is a lot of new goodies to check out.

Everything in this space has been designed around working, gaming, content creation, and home all while being practical and easy to use. From my unique PC and MacBook Pro setup to the desk itself and the switches used to mix peripherals between both systems. The Ikea Besta unit is a brand new upgrade which has become the home for my 3d printing activities, while also doubling up as additional storage. There is a lot more to be shown, so sit back, grab a drink and enjoy this longer than usual video.

Ive seen hundreds of setup videos over the years and this one just hits different for me its like looking at my dream setup of the future. The black and brown contrast is amazing the wood makes it feel cozy. Its just perfect thanks so much for sharing it with us and inspiring me to do one like this.

It takes a lot of work and talent to get such a small space so full of stuff but still looking very clean and organized. Well done. You've given me some ideas I'll be using later.

If you're struggling with keeping things secure when mounted under a desk, try using 3M Dual Lock. I use it on pedalboards and once things are locked in place they are REALLY hard to pull apart. Shouldn't have any issues holding power strips under a desk.

This is a great setup that actually gave me some ideas for my own. Every time someone says "small space" its just a full bedroom dedicated as their office. Its great to see someone else who has their office in their bedroom and are trying to make it work. Keep it up!

14:02 Yamazaki 🥃 on deck. I completely agree with you on Japanese whiskey, especially Yamazaki—it’s worth every penny despite the premium price. Yamazaki 12 has such a smooth and balanced profile, with just the right amount of complexity to keep you sipping slowly and savoring every drop. Then there’s Yamazaki 18, which is just a whole new world—rich, bold, and layered with flavors that you can’t help but appreciate.

Hibiki 21 and Hakushu 17 are also fantastic, each with their own unique character, but they all share that signature high quality that Japanese whiskey is known for. Honestly, once you’ve had a taste of these, it’s hard to go back to anything else! The craftsmanship and attention to detail are obvious in every glass, making each sip a real experience pairing with nuts while watching movie in Sonos 7.1.4 setup, simply bombastic and FUNtastic 🎉

That is a real nice setup.

I have one thing that I badly need from your setup. The USB Switch.
Can you please confirm how long it takes to switch between MAC and WINDOWS using the switch?
I had a similar one from different brand and that takes about 8-10 sec to switch, which is a deal breaker for me.
If you can confirm if UGreen is better, then I might right away get one!

Thanks in advance.

Try EQ Mac to help with your speaker issue

With the noise of your speakers it's the soundcard. If you mean that it's a con that they are quieter with the macbook, then get an audio interface. Maybe the macs output isn't providing enough juice without one. If you mean louder interference noise, then it may be that they aren't magnetically shielded and a gaming PC can cause interface noise, especially when stressing or utilising the GPU when gaming.

Very nice setup. Definitely taking some inspiration from it. Just one question - how does the PC connect to the desk? I didn't see any connecting cables.

Changing the sheets and making that bed looks like it'd be challenging...
