You should be ashamed of how many facts about this are just straight wrong. The biggest one is that Nicholson wasn't even home when this happened! His young niece, or caretaker, or someone like that was house sitting at the time and was so terrified that she called 911 in hysterics. I think that's abetter punchline to this story. Also, it wasn't pigs being eaten by bears, which when you think about it is pretty impossible to record. You'd have to arrange the pigs in a big room and somehow get yr hand on some bears, starve them and then unleash them on the pigs, all while having someone record the whole thing with a microphone. No, it was a tape that someone made of rabbits being slaughtered in a slaughterhouse. Why try to exaggerate an already wild story?

I like that this got animated, but it's not really 100% accurate. Hunter didn't just drive over there to prank them, he planned on visiting and had gifts for Nicholsons kids etc. But he just was hours late even if he promised on the phone 3 hours ago that he leaves in 10 minutes(typical for him). His plan was to get them out with the pig and gun sounds(i suppose because thats easier for him than just standing at the door, saying "here i am" when 3 hours late), but after he got no reaction and ringing the door wouldn't help either, he dropped the wapiti heart swimming in a pool of its own blood in a plastic bag in the front door so it would fall in the house when opening the door. He wanted to use some big firework then, but he either fucked it up because the instructions have been on a language he didn't understand or the thing just was a dud. It was winter, he started to lose his patience and drove home. The next morning he would check his ticker or whats it called for news, and hears that Jack Nicholson house has been attacked by an unknown individual, and that police and locals are going trought the forest armed and search for him. It was said they even found explosives. First Hunter thought what an crazy coincidence this is, since he was there just yesterday, until he realized it and called Jack so he could tell the police it was just a friend and this is all a big misunderstanding.

I think hunter did these things to propel someone into the terrorize filled reality that is hunter's mind. He obviously found it incredibly pleasurable to do such. This is not the only time he was outside of someone's place of living and blared weird noises in which were something hideous. watch the keith richards interview.
