Watcher from Florida here. That video was what made me nervous about Milton. We are used to hurricanes but this could be a level of bad we feel for years to come.

For those who need some context, 1000 millibar (or one bar) is the "default" air pressure over the ocean, and the lowest ever recorded air pressure over the ocean at sea level was 870mb. That means that Milton went from 41% of the record to 79% of the record in 10 HOURs.

Allow me to compare that to extreme temperatures using Los Angeles as an example, where the yearly average is is 64F/18C and the highest recorded heat in LA was 135F/57C. Going from 41% of the extreme to 79% of the extreme would be like going from 93F/34C (already quite warm) to 120F/49C overnight.
