I’ve listened to this an unhealthy number of times, and I feel ok about that.

I remember this being released... how has 8 years gone so fast. I'm 21 now, a lot has changed and yet still I come back to this piece of artistry. Jack's music changed my life, in a way it shaped me and was part of my upbringing. I was 10/11 when j first heard his music and it introduced me to music. God bless jack white

I don't know how many times i've listened to this song, but the one thing i do know, is everytime i hear it, it's like the first time hearing it. Timeless music, thx Mr. White.

I love how the cinematography greatly compliments his music. Despite his feelings for cameras, Jack White should be on the screen more often - just like this where he doesn't even need to fake it, just go in and do the thing he loves most. I also love how even though he's older here, and it's so different from The White Stripes original, and he has played it a million different other ways it still gets to me like it did the very first time I heard it all those years ago. It's so amazing how when I look at my life now I see so many different things, things that have changed, except for this - it's the one thing that never changes - the purity, the sincerity, the passion, the pain, the feelings - really, it's something you can't precisely describe with words - this music that this man creates; over the years I've realized that it's not just The White Stripes, it's Jack White. Truly, he has touched something that's pure, and raw, and majestic - with his music. It makes you cry, smile, sing along, and laugh - it makes you look around and wonder if there really is a god; it makes you look up to the sun and say "Hey, this isn't too bad after all". This isn't too bad after all.

I can literally listen to any White Stripes song, in any way, any version, any year, anywhere, and a million times - and they'll still never change. The songs, they remain the same. That's what's so great about it all. And if you feel the same way too, then be happy - you've found something that will keep you warm for the rest of your life, and quite possibly even after (if there's such a thing).

I could listen to an entire album of Jack and Lillie. Their voices and instruments really add up.

I listen to this version of "The Same Boy You Always Known" on the daily. It is really awesome to fall asleep with it. I have a rather intense relationship to music, it really helped save my life. Beautiful 💜

Just when I thought this generation was living "the day the music died" I started listening to Jack White. Music lives!

The acoustics never get old. This song, from that time and place, has etched itself into my heart like an old phonograph.
