You can remove hole front light assembly in 5 seconds and you need one hour to replace back fog light bulb. Nice! 😀

Thanks for the invaluable help! Following your step-by-step instructions I was able to replace the backup lights of my V70 without paying the local Volvo dealer an awful lot.

Thank you for this very detailed video which really helped me with the replacement of the reversing lights with LEDs. Your video on replacing the rear trunnion cylinders was super helpful too! You make simple what may seem complicated to someone who is not a mechanic. Big thank you from France.

Excellent instructions. I have recently bought a 2011 XC70 and noticed the tailgate light on the passenger side (UK) was filled with water. Your video has helped me greatly in fixing it. Thanks!

Another great video Yuri... quite a complex way to change a simple light bulb though but your demonstration will help greatly if I ever need to replace one.

Surprised you didn't swap those bulbs out for brighter or led bulbs while you had them out ?

Yuri, what about changing the brake, fog, brake and backup lights to LED blubs? That seems like an extreme amount of work to change light blubs.

dear sir you say no need to remove both parts of tailgate trim to change fog backup light can you leave tork screws in where upper and lower parts join one each side and just pull lower part down to, change bulbs or do you have to remove screws and remove it all as in vidio, please reply many thanks

I read there is only one side for the rear fog light to be used. Do you know if this is true? I only have my left side turn on, and noticed you had a bulb in the right side. My XC70 is a 2012. Thank you for the help

I need to do this on mine, because only one side lights up for the rear fog lights. I never use them, but I'm mainly curious to see if it's just a burnt out bult.

Is it easy to wire a bridge across to the other foglight? I am in the process of converting my RHD to LHD lighting, and I need to put a foglight on the left hand side.

Brilliant job. well done. But can you provide the "industry" name or the common number of the generic bulb (NOT Volvo Part #). I want to upgrade and replace this bulb with an LED, but it seems Volvo wants to keep aftermarket parts and upgrades to minimum. It's insanely stupid that you have to do ALL this just to replace a stupid BULB.
What are you thinking Volvo??!!

Can you replace these two bulbs by LEDs?

have you ever replaced the hatch seal (sealing strip part number 31299348) that contains the anti-pinch sensor? it is right there under the tail lights. i have recently realized that this is the cause of so many "the tailgate release button doesn't work" issues. I want to replace mine but i haven't been able to find any guides on that specific part.

Hey, how easy is it to get the rear wiper motor out?

So much work to replace rear bulbs! That's not a good design from volvo really. They probably designed it like that to make sure you take it to a volvo garage for the work to be done. Does the xc70 have rear fog lamps on both sides? Thanks, nicely explained.

Hello my friend, I want to swap the original backup lights bulbs for LED. Do you know the size of the replacement LED bulbs. It has to be error free or not? Thanks
