Speaking of music, I have a Russian piano teacher, master of music from Moscow Conservatory. She's a terrific teacher, loves children, especially autistic kids. She's helping me interpret music like no other teacher I've ever had. Four of her (American) students achieved top honors in an international piano competition (12 countries) this summer. Two of them are autistic--beautiful souls with big hearts. We always talk about the Ukraine war. She tells me, "Ukraine has always been part of Russia. Why have these people divided us?" That's how Russians feel about it. Thanks, Scott!

Im a former US soldier of the Cold War era. I’ve come to the conclusion that American Hegemony only worked when we had smart guys in office. We haven’t had that in a very long time. We are out gamed on every level now . Policy, technology, weaponry and readiness. We better be very careful of how we tread now. We are behind on almost every metric .

I know an old guy who is Russian. He is a very nice guy & speaks Russian and English. He is extremely well educated in Russian history and American history. He said long ago that just because Russia is communist doesn't mean they hate America. They actually like American tourist and treat them with respect and kindness. He said hate is a terrible thing and his words exactly, "Never hate anyone you don't know just because they different. Talk to them and learn from each other peacefully and with kindness. This will eliminate many problems and misunderstandings. Love each other and be kind." This is words of wisdom. Understanding. Knowledge. Kindness. Peace loving. Building friendships. I hope someday I may see him again.
