Pandemic Data Initiative Forum - Back To School

The CRC is a continuously updated source of COVID-19 data and expert guidance. Experts aggregate and analyze the best data available on COVID-19—including cases, testing and contact tracing and vaccines—to help the public, policymakers and healthcare professionals worldwide respond to the pandemic. We organize these forums as another avenue to inform the public and policymakers on COVID-19 data to inform planning and decision-making.
The Pandemic Data Initiative Expert Forum: Back to School will feature four special guests who will discuss how to provide schools with the best, most detailed data possible to track and combat COVID-19 while making influential policy and reopening decisions.
Dr. Michael Hinojosa is the Superintendent of the Dallas Independent School District. He has served over 26 years as a superintendent/CEO of six public education systems, including two of the 25 largest school systems in America: Dallas ISD in Texas and the Cobb County School District in suburban Atlanta, Georgia. His career in public education spans more than four decades.
Dr. Annette C. Anderson is a professor in the Johns Hopkins School of Education and the Assistant Director of the Center for Safe and Healthy Schools. In addition to being a world-renowned researcher, she has been a classroom teacher, teacher leader, curriculum coordinator, assistant principal, and founding principal of Widener Partnership Charter School.
Dr. William Moss is the Coronavirus Resource Center’s vaccinology lead and serves as the Executive Director of the International Vaccine Access Center. He is a professor in the Departments of Epidemiology, International Health, and Molecular Microbiology & Immunology at the Johns Hopkins Bloomberg School of Public Health.
Beth Blauer is the Associate Vice Provost for Public Sector Innovation at Johns Hopkins and data lead for the Johns Hopkins Coronavirus Resource Center. Blauer and her team transform raw COVID-19 data into clear and compelling visualizations that help policymakers and the public understand the pandemic and make evidence-based decisions about health and safety.
