What I find is strange you can study at any College University in America for a social science degree or a socialology degree from all the way up to a doctor degree. and they would never ever touch on a cast system inside America. This black woman has teached a complete doctor degree in social science degree and socialology degree.

I agree and America is still doing it with the term "people of colour". It is such a racist term. They basically put black people, all Asians, Spanish, Aboriginals etc into one group. You are "people of colour" completely ignoring their histories and differences. Then the other designation is white people. They have even got black people in the US doing it, just putting themselves in one box with every other non-white group.
I used the term non-whites and a black person picked me up on it. But I was referring to whites and non-whites. You can have blacks and non-blacks, Chinese and non-Chinese but separating everyone into one group "people of colour" is unbelievably racist in view.

All true but we cannot blame colonialism for its creation. There were these types of value systems used by tribes themselves on almost every continent for humdreds of years prior. The conquerors controlling the conquered living in their society. The closer the outsider was to the conquering had the most privileges & could gain accesses economically. This existed way before the states came to being. The crime was once there was enlightenment and countries began abolishing Spain & US continued the trade.
