Gym Volleyball : a summary

“ok so YOU are a bumper, you bump the ball!”

“you are a setter, your ready position is standing completely upright with your hands nearly touching the net!”

“to hit, make a fist and basically punch the ball.”

“a set is kinda like pushing the ball. use your open palm and push it directly forward.”

“when bumping, swing your arms to where you want the ball to go.”

“when serving, you can go up to half way to the net if you need help. you also get a second serve!”

*kids holding the balls up at their faces, dropping it, and swinging all the way to the left = serving*

*kids standing completely upright and interlocking fingers while swinging their arms behind their heads = a ‘bump’*

*kids using their palms to ‘set’ the ball and pushing it below the net = a set*

*kids using a ‘bump’ position but it’s really just a normal ready position except they are standing straight up and they hit the balls with their open palms = defense*
