Great video! For sure one should take into consideration how much their expenses are. In my case I have no student loans, just a grant and a scholarship. I received a refund check yesterday. So I have taken the cost of my books into consideration as well as my grad fee. I will be investing in a reasonably priced up to date laptop and also in some repairs to my car. Then setting aside a percentage of my refund check into my Savings Account. I am in my second to last semester before I officially finish my A.A Degree. If you have any student loans, I would for sure after expenses, put the rest towards any loans. I agree, don't spend your refund check on things you don't need. For example, it's okay to get a couple of t-shirts or pants if needed but you don't need to spend the whole refund check on a whole new wardrobe.

Usually what I do, is actually set and calculate how much money I need for the semester. Before you purchase books the school will give you a breakdown on how much credit you are granted. If you are offerd Grant's and scholarships and get a refund from that, you don't have to pay them back. In my case I have saved my refund check for a Rainey day I also pay a little bit of Bill's with it. But I was thankful that I was able to pay the plumber to fix my sink. All students if you can save to the best of your ability.
