Object Counting on a Convey Belt

Typical object tracking frameworks generally consist of three major modules which can be identified as, 1. Object Detection, 2. Object Modelling and 3. Object Tracking.

In this mini-project, I have used a Classical Machine Vision approach to track and count hexagonal nuts on a conveyor. It uses background subtraction, contour representation and template matching followed by object moments interpretation as the detection, modelling and tracking methods respectively.
