This game reminds me of skate 3. An open world game where you can ride anywhere! The slight music in the background too reminds me even more of skate 3. Awesome game can’t wait to play it!

Always cool to see devs rewarded with a franchise for taking unconventional risks. I remember reading that Steep was a labor of love by the dev team and wasn’t made to make big sales and now Ubisoft is the only company with a modern extreme sports experience

To be honest, looks fun for the first week or two, but can see this getting quite boring very quickly. If people think Crew 2 is boring, then this is probably next level. Hopefully I'm wrong.

the game looks nice but it seems like its nearly impossible to fall if one of the wheels touch the ground first.

being able to swap to a jump pack at any time removes the sense of danger in the big jumps and falls.

For those who remember SSX (the first one) mastered this you felt like you were really falling when doing a big jump and trick set... yes even though its a game that asks you to suspend reality because you never fell to your death.

This game is going to hit the same pitfall that the Crew did, in the Crew you lost the sense of speed and danger when cornering because you can fly and hop in a speed boat whenever. In this game there is no sense of danger in terms of elevation because you can fly and no sense of boundary because you can go from bike to skii's.

what made SSX and Tony Hawk Pro Skater such loved and memorable games is that you existed in a world with physics rules that you could BEND but could not break and that was the conflict you were always juggling on a knifes edge.

These games now are like being Superman in a Sandbox... great for 2hrs on a first time play through but after that the complete lack conflict between the in game avatar and the world around it makes it boring. A game where you can TRY and do whatever you want is alot more fun than a game where you CAN do whatever you want.
