Hello, guys

Today I will be reviewing the @iFiaudiochannel Hip Dac 3. This has been on my review wishlist for a long time due to its awesome xbass feature which gives it a +10db of bass. Find out more about it on my review here.

This sounded like the perfect DAC and I liked your review. The volume issue really bothered me though so I started searching forums. Using a small rubber o ring gasket was suggested and apparently works really well to hold the volume knob in place . Evidently other manufacturers already use this solution out of the box. Hope this works for you. All the best.

if you like more Bass then BTR7 and especially BTR15 is exactly what you are looking for these things have incredible Bass they don't need a Bass boost button and i was really suprised how Clean sounding BTR15 and how powerful it is considering it's tiny size plus slightly elevated Bass but done incredibly well much better then IFI Bass boost feature

I have a general question. Why choose a dongle or portable dac over desktop Dac? I know that the desktop dacs have more power output in general, but is the extra power really required to run a headphone like Hifiman Sunadara? Does the extra power in desktop dac amps bring more juice in the sound quality?

How about pairing with Hifi Sundara. Is it plenty enough to power Sundara with plenty of room ?

Hello, I have this DAC and Casiopea 4x4, both are good.

Thinking of getting this to pair up with M300. Is the size bigger than m300 when you band them up together? Hope both together didn't turn out too bulky. Seems like it's sq is good. How does it colour up the sound when paired with m300? Which device ka sound signature comes through in your ears, if you know what i mean.

I don't need Bluetooth, I already have wireless headphones. I bought this because I wanted lossless hi-res audio from my iPhone and I didn't see any point in paying more for a DAC with Bluetooth when I don't need all that extra circuitry. There are plenty of Bluetooth DACs out there so if someone wants that they should look elsewhere. I've not seen a DAC that does variable bass boost. Is there one out there?

More power is a missed opportunity for this iteration.

I disagree about the volume control. I carry it in a backpack on my back, I put it neatly, yes, I spend a few minutes on it, but more than once I have not had a spontaneous increase in volume . You just need to stack the device carefully, and everything will be fine with this volume knob.
