The Disturbing Reality of ARGs

As humanity evolves and grows, so does our range of storytelling abilities. From our ancestors huddled around the campfire telling terrifying experiences to scare impressionable young children away from the darkness. A place where powerful predators lay in wait, to cautionary tales of what happens when we stray from the right path.

As time passed, our stories went from purely verbal to written in influential novels, performed on the stage, heard on the radio waves, experienced on the big screen, and, eventually, into our homes where we surf the web and play our video games.

That is the purpose of this new show, to showcase some of the darker stories within the gaming community, the mythos behind our favorite games, and the links to real-world horrors so many of them inhabit.

My name is Chelsea Rebecca; I am the co-host of the Dead Meat Podcast, a horror fan, and a gaming lover. I’m fascinated by the how and why behind all horror media, and tonight, I invite you to get comfy, stay alert and prepare to embark on a journey into The Dark Side Of Gaming.

Trying to think warm thoughts because in three and a half hours I am supposed to be standing in a crowd to get a turkey. But it's in single digits and it's been snowing for 3 days, but they still kept stuff going yesterday so hopefully they'll do it again today. An additional problem is is I have severe PTSD and don't do well with crowds, so I have a couple friends going with me to get their own turkeys to help disperse the people around me to help me feel safer so I can deal with it because you have to go to pick up your own turkey nobody can pick up your turkey for you. In my opinion that's a bunch of gobble, I have a lot of physical disabilities as well as well as my severe PTSD and I've got several doctors that could even sign off on me not being able to deal with the situation like this so I'll probably end up shutting down later on. I just found out I got denied for my disability appeal and so I guess now the lawyer starting next week is going to work on a hearing they will go to for me, but this is the third time around and I don't really have any part of any type and I don't know what I'm going to do cuz there's so many layers of complication it's not even funny
