BMW: How to check and put air into your tyres, and am I going back to Run-flat Tyres?

Welcome to Season 2 Episode 6 (S02E06). I purchased my BMW M140i new with Bridgestone runflat tyres, as there is no spare tyre or tyre repair kit in the car. However, I replaced those original tyres with Michelin Pilot Sport 4 tyres (together with the wheels) and it did result in noticeable performance gains (e.g. reduced 0-60 times). However, I've occasionally had issues due to lack of spare tyre and no tyre repair kit...

I carry a spare tire-plug kit with me. It's easy to do and the repair lasts. I don't bother with the repair shop. I've been doing this for years.

I had a car previously with runflats. Only 2 companies made the right size runglat tyres so very expensive. Went straight to non runflat tyres, one puncture but with a repair kit this wasn't a big issue. Saved probably £400 pounds over time I had the car.

Hi, I bought a BMW thinking it out for a run flats but he had to run flats on the back and they’re taking the run flats off the front and I got a puncture thinking it was awful run flats so people should check their tires because you don’t have a spare wheelnot a good situation😢😢

mechanics have a special clip they put on the nozzle to fix the air going in issue you had, where when you put it on, the air comes out the side of the nozzle

Also I've heard that suspensions are made / calculated to work with runflat, and so, you can lose stability .. did you notice something like that ?
An other question, what was your previous tires ? And the gains of PS4 ? Thanks

Run flats are no substitute for a spare. They can get you to safety but that's it.

tyre pressures should be checked when the tyres are cold not hot or you will get a false reading.
