Based on your ideas, I used the stronger hangers found in the garden section. Cut them in half, drilled a new screw hole and screwed these up with the broom handle on the wall going down into my basement. I used s-hooks & dollar tree baskets to hang from the broom pole. I use these baskets to contain pet items; toys, collars, leashes and such.

That totally gave me an idea for a cheap alternative to hang the valence I made for my mom and I'll be able to do my aunt some curtains. This would also be good for a dorm room. Thank you for the inspiration

Great idea but I doubt it can hold much weight! You're better off drilling holes into it & attaching to studs!!

This is so clever!! I have the strangest shaped walk in closet in my apartment (it’s kinda like a skinny pentagon lol it’s odd) and have been trying to find some storage solutions that will work with the shape. This might just be the ticket!

The ones I bought this weekend do not have a peel and stick backing... But they do work once I nailed it to the wall

You could also use the screw holes to screw them into the wall for more support, since the dollar tree stickies aren’t very strong or reliable. While this is a very cool way to use these, I’m really curious to know what the $70 alternative might’ve been cause $70?! For a rod? Umm what rod you buying?

Sweet idea! Or Instant Curtain rods. Just use clip rings, pinch pleat two twin sized flat sheets, or shower curtain with metal slider rings or a rectangular fabric table cloth for alternate curtain panels.
