The US is the only developed nation in the world that doesn't provide healthcare as a human right to all of its citizens, and despite that, the US also has the most expensive healthcare system in the world. The reality is that it costs a lot more to have our healthcare system subverted by private corporate interests (namely insurance companies, medical equipment manufacturers, pharmaceutical producers, and their respective lobbies) than it costs to take care of each other.

We have the greatest income inequality in human history, and we struggle with increasing poverty, debt, and homelessness among the masses. The three richest Americans are together, more wealthy than the poorest 50%, over 100 million people. Our pentagon "misplaced" $21 trillion dollars between 1997 and 2015, the equivalent of the entire national debt. This was discovered by an internal audit committed by the US Office of Inspector General. $21, 000, 000, 000, 000.
