That’s me in the tree! I totally enjoyed myself in the sequoia - it was the perfect last night of what was a perfect holiday. Two things stopped me going higher: (1) knowing I’d had a few glasses of the local brew and (2) not wanting to jeopardise doing the parkrun I had my heart set on the next morning. I will dream of coming back and climbing right to the top… and enjoying a beer on my descent! A pleasure to meet you Blair, good luck with the book.

I climbed my first big pine when I was 7, 51 years ago. Mom couldn’t find me and when she did was kind of upset. It was safer 65 feet up that tree, lol. I remember finding a birds nest tied to the top fork with nylon string, I was fascinated by that. I’m glad your video popped up this morning and I will look for your book. Thanks.

That excerpt is well written. I think it’s an excellent idea for an animated children’s book. Like George of the Jungle. You can inspire an entire generation to climb trees (and appreciate nature) if you can sum it up in a short read. Everyone remembers their favorite children’s book, just don’t let Humpty Dumpty fall out of a tree!

That tree looks like a some sort of sequoia, maybe a mature dawn redwood.

Your writing has that music in it and it resonates well. Reflects that just maybe you do things right.

Good video as always and looking forward to the book. Have you ever done tree work away from the tools and do you think you would want to do that in the future?

Nice work on the Book. Keep thinking about the book and you'd find new ideas popping up in your head. In respect to working around those power wires, would it not be better to have the power company come out and cut the power for an hour or so to allow you to cut those branches. Better to play it as accidents are what they Cheers

Just lost my utility gig. Dealing with the VA and shit I wanna give up. If I'm not climbing I'm not whole.

I think that climbing tree in the beginning was a Cedar tree...??

Those oblivious people walking under you are not really oblivious...they must know who you are and have supreme confidence that you would never allow them to get hurt....LOL..!!

If you believe that, then I have some ocean front property in Arizona that I will sell to you real cheap...LOL..!!

Real oblivion is the state of mind of your current Governor.
