The high adjustment screw (or throttle screw) is the one closest to to the air filter. The screw closest to the engine is the low (or idle screw). There is a thin wire that goes to the coil (not the one that goes to the spark plug) it must be grounded to the engine to kill the engine. Follow this wire and check for a loose connection. I hope this helps.

The channel needs more 5th scale content like this 🔥

I don't think people understand how much effort, work, and time this takes for Kev to do what he does. He fully deserves all his success, he's less than 0.1% of the population who have this in them. Admiration.

I just love how Kev's "failsafe" is full throttle 😂

Man these 5Ts hitting jumps and taking flight is something else!

Kev, on my dirtbike filter I only use 3 drops of air filter oil as per manufacturer instructions and rub it in. If it's too saturated the engine will run inconsistently causing you to chase the tune. Not sure how much oil you use but it seemed a bit much for such a small filter. You want just the outer surface saturated to prevent dust particles in dry conditions from going in the carb. With that said. That is a sick build!

I feel sorry for Kev, because he can’t experience the excitement us fans have when we see that notification 😄

Finally a big 2 stroke petro engine that moves a vehicle like it's supposed to.

I would try a different kill switch. Killer bee is the one I use. Also you’re geared to aggressive. That is why it was heating up like crazy. Also you probably should break the motor in proper before ripping like that. Just my take.

Haha Kevin is like a kid in a candy store. When he gets excited then we get excited too... I was thinking the chassis was not going to hold up with the weight of that bigger engine. LOL Kevin cannot resist big jumps...

You make building these things effortless. It would take me days of trial and error to get this one running😂

It is always wonderful to see how much a vehicle can take by bashing it as hard as you do. I would like to see everybody do some races together again!

Ask Taylor what the run-in carb settings are. There should be a certain number of turns out from all the way turned in. For my chain saws its like 1 to 1-1/4 turns out for the L and H. the 3rd is your Idle speed that you can adjust to your liking. You would think something like that would be included with an engine of that caliber.

your break in process is quite unique 🤣🤣🤣

If a 2-stroke engines doesn't wanna turn off, you can always just block the exhaust, like put your shoe against it or something. Saved us and our engines many times! ;)

I just happen to be working on my 5T when I got this notification. I feel like that makes me special. Like me and Kev are connected man. lol

Lean with no load can cause runaway but if the kill switch works it could be a loose carb or case leak

Thanks for all the AWESOME content, Kevin!

Kev. Nitro and Petrol cars go into a lean condition when the tank gets below 1/8th. We used to run a large in-line fuel filter on our cars and trucks to help that lean condition be better by aerating the fuel better. Also you can get a fuel line pinch kit to shut off fuel flow so the engine will stall if the kill switches happen to not work again in the future. Cheers.
