Wind Spinners - Estevan and Weyburn Library

Let’s make some wind spinners for spring!

You will need:
- Craft wire (at least 1 foot long)
- Marbles
- Decorative Stones
- Beads
- Fishing line
- Object to wrap wire around
- Scissors

Step 1: Take a piece of wire and wrap around an object about the same width as the marbles. Wrap it until the twist is as high as you like (to fit a marble in, wrap the wire a minim of 4 times).

Step 2: Slid the wire off of the object. Twist the wire slightly at either end of wrap so the marble will not fall out.

Step 3: Gently pull the wire apart just enough to push the marble in. Squish the wire back down to prevent the marble from popping out.

Step 4: Get creative! Add beads, twist the wire around shiny stones, or leave it plain!

Step 5: Twist the top of the wind spinner to create a closed loop. This will be used to hold the fishing line.

Step 6: Pass an end of the finishing line though the loop, knotting it at the top.

Step 7: Attach wind spinner to another spinners or to a hook on the deck and enjoy!
