when i was a little child (late 90s post soviet kazakhstan), this kombucha was very popular. it was called "tea fungi" and literally everyone had it. i was disgusted of it and even afraid. Somehow it connected in my imagination with xfiles tv series.

If you don't wanna do the whole cooking strawberries on the stove, a super easy and low effort is macerate the berries with sugar. Doesn't matter if they're fresh, frozen or thawed, just sprinkle a few spoonfuls over the berries and leave them be for at least 30mins (although the longer the better). When you come back the berries will be soft and in a berry syrup.

This made my day! I usually feed the extra scoby to my chickens or give it to friends to start their own brew but I'm definitely gonna give this recipe a try next time I borrow a dehydrator from the Kitchen Share.

these little squares in the beginning could be really good to keep in a little glass bottle for your bag or pocket to chew on when you need something to chew on instead of your nails/cheek/tongue etc/
