Here are the Pros & Cons for this 80mm EDF Jet:

Pros:
- It is a big EDF jet. Bigger than I anticipated.
- Nice Flaps
- Really bright LED lights
- Robust landing gear suspension & nice main wheels
- It has very nice battery option flexibility

Cons:
- The paint overspray is a con to me, but overall the paint is well done on this plane along with everything else.

This jet is so cool it has me considering other Freewing EDF Jets like the brand new Freewing F-35 70mm, and the Freewing F-18 Blue Angels 90mm EDF Jet. I do have the E-flite Viper and I got this L-39 Freewing over the E-flite F-16 because it seemed like it was a lot more plane for not much more money. The E-flite Havoc Xe 80mm EDF Jet is also on my radar, though I likely won't get it right away, if I do.

This is how Motion RC describes this 80mm Freewing EDF Jet:

"Combining the sport performance of the Freewing Avanti and the fidelity of scale aircraft like the A-4 and MiG-21, Freewing continues the legacy of its excellent performing 80mm EDF jets with its Freewing 80mm L-39C Albatros! Developed originally by Aero Vodochody in the 1960s in what is now the Czech Republic, the Aero L-39 Albatros excelled as a jet trainer platform with its powerful turbofan and overall reliability. The L-39 and its successive variants continues in service throughout the world in militaries as trainers and light attack platforms, and in civil aviation including aerial demo teams and racing.

The Freewing L-39 Albatros is the largest and most capable production PNP L-39 in the world. Optimized for high maneuverability and precision flying, the L-39 truly is a “Sport jet wearing Scale jet clothing”. The PNP version uses a powerful 3530-1850kv brushless motor and 100A ESC to power the 12 blade 80mm EDF.

The Freewing L-39 Albatros includes grass capable suspension landing gear, a full coverage nose door, scale wingtip lights, and easily removable tip tanks, ordnance, belly gun pod, and wings. Only one glue joint is required to complete the model’s general assembly. A plastic lined cockpit also resists deformation under sunlight, and optional 3D Printed cockpit detail upgrade parts are also sold separately.

FEATURES:
Sport jet performance in a scale jet package
Flies as smooth and rock solid as our popular Avanti S
Grass-ready shock absorbing oleo struts and electric retracts
Plastic-lined canopy to prevent bubbling or "gatoring"
Large cabin for easy access to battery and receiver
New Multi-function control box (MCB-E) for better wire organization

INCLUDES:
Freewing L-39 Albatros 80mm EDF Jet - PNP
REQUIRES:
6 Channel radio - select a minimum 6 channel radio from our Radio Collection

Oh baby GB! You are going to really enjoy this plane... I hope lol! It's very solid, flies so nice and predictable, no mixing of flaps and elevator for me, gear and tires soak up the landings! I flew on a 4000 mah Admiral Pro and the factory CG was perfect for me! Excellent and spot on unboxing and review. Looking forward to the maiden flight! Thumbs up! Best regards!

Beautiful Rig, Ryan!! I love that battery bay and Question - Usually we select timing for Landing Gear on the radio - this thing have a sequencer that takes out that option??

I laugh now that 2 years ago I was getting my edf start with the ArrowsRC Viper and Marlin and now the warmup jet is an 80mm T-33. Can’t say enough good things about the quality of Freewing. Got the Camo L-39 built, but the weather hasn’t cooperated for a maiden. (Who knew January & February would be either cold, wet or windy?…….)

I can live with the over spray, it's the landing gear delay that bugs me. By the way, I like your "fake voice". lol
