Three Sisters Garden: Planting the Rest of the Pumpkins

It's time to plant the rest of the pumpkins in the Three Sisters garden. I've decided to go with the small, sweet one we discovered at a local market. Hopefully they won't run over our Hubbards! Also, I add Epsom salts to the anaerobic compost tea mix and it's a good day all around.

If you have a horse feed supplier local - they have many useful nutrients including epsom salts a lot cheaper than a typical store. You could also load the barrel with probiotics with a Gil Carandang style lacto bacillus brew. I'll send a link if ya want. I use it to make fish emulsion from bones/scraps as well as a general spray for animal enclosures and compost barrels and piles.NEVER let the wife catch you making fish emulsion with the household blender :D

*Serious question* here: on Richard Perkins' YouTube channel I believe I heard that anaerobic bacteria isn't good for garden soil. Can you speak to that, please? I've been putting anaerobic bacteria from fermented kitchen waste in my garden, and you're making anaerobic sludge for yours. What's the deal?
BTW - the diluted urine is working *great* in my garden.
