Easy Knit Diaper cover, Baby Shorts or Bloomers to match the Lily Cardigan Baby Sweater | Beginner friendly Knitting Patterns
These adorable knit baby shorts or diaper cover are designed to perfectly complement the Lily cardigan sweater. Created for 0-3 months, this piece is knit from the top down in one piece, making it both seamless and beginner-friendly. Like the matching cardigan, these shorts are easily adaptable; simply adjust your needle size to make them slightly smaller or larger without changing the pattern. This versatile piece is ideal for layering or as a cute stand-alone item. Note: Sizes are based on standard measurements and may vary depending on individual tension. Check the gauge below to ensure a perfect fit!

Sizes:
NB use 4mm needles with #4, Aran o 10ply yarn
0-3M use 4.5mm needles with #4, Aran o 10ply yarn
3-6M use 5mm needles with #4, Aran o 10ply yarn
6-12M use 5.5mm needles with #4, Aran o 10ply yarn

Materials:
Yarn: 43g (92yd/84m) for 3-6M of DK yarn (I used James C Brett Baby Aran)
Needles: 16in long, 4.5mm for 0-3m size
Ribbon: 1/4in wide and about 15in long (waived thru the middle only)
Approx. gauge: 2in = 16 rows / 9 sts in main pattern with 4.5mm/Aran yarn
Finished measurements are available at the end of the tutorial for 0-3m size
