CHEMICAL GUYS BLACKLIGHT application & review DOES IT WORK?

I was curious about finding a product that could give me a protective layer, and make black paint look tremendous. As I went through ad reviews on webpages that sell this product, I realized how controversial this product is. Some people think it is terrible, while others found it useful. Stay put until the video is over to see my opinion, and hopefully form your own!

Y'all this is a a fix all. It's only one step in the process. Wash, rinse, dry, clay bar, Polish, then glaze. All the dots your seeing in the paint is impurities from dirt and such being in the paint after time. If you want professional results you have to do all the steps and work involved or you won't get the results you want. That's why you had to repeat the process. Also use a microfiber sponge to apply or a foam pad wool pads pick up any impurities even after wash and will scratch the paint

Why are you using a wool pad for a Wool pad is for cutting!

You marred your paint horribly with that wool pad. Foam only!!!!

Its a gloss enhancer, thats about it. It does make your car shine, but doesn't correct anything. I bought it and I only use it when I want that gloss wet look for a weekend

Looks like my car. I did a Polish last year and it came out like a literal mirror. I showed some guys I worked with and they couldn't tell it was my door panel. 🤣

Rain x waterless wash and wax is the easiest and glossiest handwash first with 2 buckets

So what would be the professional version of this?

NO IT DOES NOT WORK as advertised. That’s ridiculous you had to put on 4 coats.... It’s a glaze, you were better off using a one step and then a wax coat

Meguiars 3-1 wax would’ve performed much better. Thankful for this video it saved me $24

Great product. I follow Black Light with my favourite wax, Chemical Guy's Pete's 53 Black Pearl paste wax. A killer combo.

First of all, your vehicle does not have light swirls and scratches. It has extremely deep and heavy swirls and scratches and I can tell you why. Your vehicle has such very deep swirling and scratches because you are using entirely wrong materials.

You are wiping it with isopropyl alcohol and water without without using a clay bar.

Second, you are using the most aggressive pad on the face of the planet to apply Blacklight. That pad is only supposed to be used for very intense scratches in the cutting process.

The reason why you have such very intense scratches on your vehicle to start with is because you are using very improper materials on your paint.

I honestly cannot believe that you actually use the wool pad to apply Blacklight.

At the end you say that you went around the vehicle three times with a wool pad. That is a high cutting pad! Not a waxing pad.

I can almost hear your paint screaming, "help me" in a tiny little whiny voice.

You probably went around the vehicle so many times with the wool that it flattened out the deep swirls and scratches but that is not what Blacklight is meant to do. It is NOT a polishing or compounding agent.
