If it hits it strike price for you do you have to manually convert it to stocks before the expiration or does it just do it for you automatically

I have a three part hypothetical question.
(Part 1) Lets say I bought a Hertz put contract for the $1 strike price expiring on 7/2 for a premium price of $0.01. This contract has a Delta of -0.0574. What this means is that if the current stock price of Hertz which is at $1.44 drops to $0.44, I will make a profit of $5.74 per contract. Is this correct?

If you buy a single call option, and it becomes in the money, but you don’t “sell to close” for some reason before expiration, are you required to purchase the underlying? What if you don’t “sell to close” before expiration? Will you be forced to buy the underlying shares?

Trying to grasp these options.. seems like a great way to get deals on stocks but also very risky.

Ok i may sound naive to ask this question but I like your insights your videos are really good.... so let's say you went ahead and did the naked call on McDonald's for July 17 2020 and looking at the chart today it seems McDonald's almost made 200 but was short I think 198 ... did you just lose a lot of money because it never hit 200 upon expiration?
Sincerely: A fan

You did not mention you have to click in all products. Instead of the usual screen active doing a video adds every single detail....You just confused thousands of people.
