Like the commenter from Biloxi, we rode out Katrina at the mouth of the Pearl River. Everyone on the television, up till power went around midnight Sunday, was saying the the hurricane would turn to the east before making landfall. It never happened. Always prepare for the worst. (Oh, and Havana is spelled with only one "N.")

I live in West Palm Beach and always have my eye on the tropics. I got more info on this potential storm from you than my local meteorologists. I believe this could turn into a Cat 1 or Cat 2, in the golf and crossing Florida above Tampa. With upper level winds out of the north, heading to the east. If it gets into the golf it will sit and grow for a few days, before crossing Florida.
