My final burn in and vertical banding test on my 65 inch LG B8 OLED.

After 400 days, more than 4000 hours of usage and I'm pleased to say that I did not experience ANY burn in whatsoever 🙂

Unfortunately a number of dead pixels did appear on my OLED but LG have agreed to replace the panel under warranty and so the testing will finally end on this one.

Good news is that i will start the whole testing process again from day one with the brand new panel,so stay tuned for those tests coming very soon.

If you are a company and have a product that you would like me to unbox and test out on my channel then you can contact me directly at -

I have a LG C7 Oled 65 inch.
After almost 18 months fighting LG for a new Panel I got one after just calling the place which I purchased it from!
Thanks Harvey Norman...
I needed a new Panel because of image burn issues.
Luckily the C7 comes with a Zoom Screen In feature which is great because when watching shows with a static image I can simply zoom the static image out and the the screen still looks great!
It's only for "some" TV shows like Skynews.
2 clicks of the remote is all that's needed!
Once I knew of this on my original Panel, unfortunately it was 2 late!
I'm very happy with my 2nd new Panel, with not a image burn in site thanks to the Zoom In function!
As the TV Tech told me,
1.Do a Pixel Refresher once a week not once a month!
2.Use Zoom In function when needed.

My second oled tv 65 c9 and it will be the last one. Have had burns on both. Although the picture is acceptable the burns do show up and it's just a real deception. I recently purchased a samgung q80 and it's a great all around tv. NO BLURS... By the way my oled tv's were only 2 years old. What a waste of money.

Call of duty black ops 4 burnt my screen twice. Might be a good starting point for a test

Tech Giant I appreciate the tests you have run on your panel. I am a recent purchaser of an LG 77” OLED c9 and it is gorgeous. I do worry about burn in ( it is a big investment) but I would like to enjoy it without fear. I have researched (through other tech channels) this issue and I think LG has taken steps to litigate the problem.( a larger red sub pixel, screen shift, and panel refresh) I am a gamer, sports, news and movie lover so I am curious about an extreme test with banners, huds and logos. Since you are replacing the panel I think it would be great to see how the panel holds up with the meausures LG has implemented to prevent the gradation of the tv, thanks!

This is pretty reassuring. Just got a 48" CX, which will see probably about 12-15 hours of use per week (just for gaming). Hopefully, I'll be good for years. Top screen - love it.

OLEDs have such a beautiful picture, but I just can’t bring myself to drop AUD$3500 on a TV that I’d have to baby. For that reason I’m waiting to see some reviews for the Samsung Q90T, if decent, I’ll pick one of those up. Besides, I’m buying for my living room, which has a lot of bright natural light.

I purchased the c9 55" a week ago and I I gotta say i watched you reviews on it. I've always had no issues with dead pixels on the LG and like u say it wouldn't put me off either. So much on this TV and the apps response and smoothness of the tv is 2and to none. The wifi is outstanding I'm absolutely blown away by the quality. Thanks for your great reviews in helping me to make my choice on the C9. You rock 🤘🤘🤘

Hey paul. Hope you well and thanks for the videos you keep posting. On your 5% grey scale test you mention some "strange lines" what are those exactly? I have c9 since october and recently noticed i have the same when i run the test. Very noticeble if oled is on 50%. So far not worried, since nothing shows when wathching normal tv. Cheers
