After weeks of bad news for Xbox including the CMA blocking their Activision deal, it looks like Microsoft got some big support with a major regulator now approving the deal.

It's time for gamers to just sit back and admit, we have no idea what's going on with this approval process. We're just going wait for Microsoft to confirm whether or not they'll be adding CoD to Gamepass

No worries Spawn, this is going to be wrapped up soon. A lot of countries approved, a few more are on the way this month alone. The FTC has no case to stand on, so they'll likely close after China, South Korea, Australia and New Zealand come in (and hopefully my native Canada hurries up too).

One of the problems with cloud gaming is, that most games are designed to be played locally.

The issue with various operating systems, for cloud streamin, is dumb. Their cloud runs through a browser and they all use the same protocols. The OS really isnt a factor. The regulators really dont understand cloud.

I’m no expert but that EU remedy sounds like it will require quite a bit of good faith on MS’ part for it to be effective. I’m sure MS will find loopholes, and financial/technical walls so it doesn’t end up as idealistic as the EU hope. That might be the CMA’s retort. We will see.
