Funnily enough the speed runners has SOMEHOW found a way to speed run the game. From what I understand you just needed to paint non-stop and it somehow speeds up the timer and ending the game in 387 days instead of the usual 400

Games name: The longing

It's a beautiful game with great music and sound design, but it lacked depth for a game that's supposed to keep you going for 400 days. I wish they would've done more to truly make me feel responsible for the lil creature's well being. To interact with it and have more activities together would've been nice. After you finish exploring the caves, there's not much more you can do than read books, draw and wait for the ending.🤷

You could fulfil your duty and wake the king after 400 days.

Or

You could spend your time digging a tunnel to the outside world, abandoning your liege and creator in the name of freedom.
