KLAS-TV news opens

Here ya go - my longest compilation yet, in fact being the second longest JUST under tristan andrew’s WABC compilation. You can thank the fact that they’ve been using talent bumps FOREVER (which drags out the compilations usually) and of course there are plenty of KLAS clips on here, especially from Vegas Past Newscasts and KLAS itself. Being the ratings leader also is a factor.

But hey, enjoy the evolution of this station’s talent - better them than 40+ minutes of WPVI!

The period from early 2000 to the present was only marked by the use of two music packages: News Source (2000-06; originally composed by Gari Media for WBNS and later used by WFOR from 1999-2008) and 360 (2006-present; originally composed by 360 Music which was later bought by Stephen Arnold Music in the mid-2010s). Ironically the latter package was composed for both this station and Dallas NBC-owned station KXAS. The hodgepodge of music packages used by the station between 1990 and 1999 included Real News (a Killer Tracks package which was used by WSVN during its last years as an NBC affiliate), Signature (a package introduced by Stephen Arnold Music in the early 1990s and is now retired), and Power News (a package composed by Non-Stop Music that was used by German television channel RTL from 1997 to the late 2000s).
