YES! This is perfect timing, polymers is the last thing I had to go over.

Thank you for all the vidoes you've made, they helped a lot with Unit 1 & 2, and are certainly helping with Unit 4, looking forward to Unit 5 vids! :)

I'm a bit confused as to what happened to the OH and H in terylene from the middle of the two molecules. I understand what happened at the end but how did you link them with just the O and there wasn't 2 molecules of water

At 15:18, shouldn't there be 2H20's to balance?

When drawing a repeating unit, can you draw it full as opposed to writing  (ch2)4 in the middle?

Quick question- why benzene, 1, 4-dicarboxylic acid instead of benzene, 1, 4, dioic acid ? -or is that just the way it is

No one will read this bit at 11.18 the water is formed from OH from carboxylic acid and H from alcohol . He did it incorrectly and he said its OH alcohols group plus H from carboxylic acid. This resulted in him drawing the polyester incorrectly too. When he says it didn't matter what side o is on thats the way taught in GCSE and in A level it matters

Just Wandering, Under Nylon66, Did you not have to specify the position of the the Dioic Acids (i.e. 1, 6)

Very helpful video; thanks! :)
Just one quick question - according to DuPont's own literature, Kevlar is manufactured from 1, 4-diaminobenzene and benzene-1, 4-dicarbonyl dichloride (C6H4(COCl)2), rather than benzene-1, 4-dicarboxylic acid. I know this might be a fairly insignificant detail to be worrying about, but would the former still get the marks in an exam question?
