These Xenon projector bulbs are under extreme pressure, so we needed a way to break them from a safe distance. A bolt action .22 worked perfectly. Enjoy!

The loud bang lets you guess what pressure is really inside that lamp.
If you have the possibilities, try this with a hot lamp. But don't be in the same room when it detonates!

Did you shoot the lamp or did the lamp explode on its own?

That enormous pressure builds up as the lamp heats up during operation. A cold lamp isn't pressurized much. This loud bang wouldn't come if you just drop it on hard floor.
