I’ve watched the entire series numerous times. Every time it’s like a first. In this day and age British humour will never be the same again.

The street featured is Bush Hill in Northampton. My great-aunt and uncle (both gone now) lived there. They actually filmed in front of their house (a yellow gate is partially visible in shot). The final cut is trimmed down a little. They don’t appear but did see some of the filming through their windows.

I am now 79 retired. when I was in my late 30's I came across this comedy from our British friends it use to come on American T.V. usually on a Friday night Keeping Up Appearances ! with Hyacinth, Richard Daisy her acting Husband whose name I don't remember now, Rose and her sister who lived in the country with room for a pony and a pool. These or this cast is superb the Vicar I watched it religiously eventually found more episodes on P.B.S. it's all zannie but I loved it an Hyacinth's demeanor in show like my mom's it was a great show of everyday happenings the cast was amazing & her neighbors Elizabeth & Emit now it's gone from American T.V. I do miss it greatly. guess all the performers have past away ? but this show is a legend...
