Gear Shift Sender GSS-3000

The GSS-3000 is a new generation of gear-shift position system from Dakota Digital. We’ve minimized the decoder (the brain of the system), and the new, smaller size with inboard terminals allows for easier installation. Able to be used with a Dakota Digital instrument system or on its own, this versatile unit can relay transmission gear position to a VFD, VHX, HDX or RTX instrument system, as well as the DGS-series of standalone indicators.

Definitely seems possible for Dakota Digital to engineer it, this should be included in the Holley BIM unit.

I am running a 4l80e with a Holley Terminator x Max ecu. Wouldn’t the gauge cluster RDX Receive the gear shift data from the ecu? Do I need a separate Box? Like the GSS-3000

the shifting patter in 4L60e is PRND321 thers no overdrive and it is 3 speeds so how i can program this pattern?

My shifting pattern is PRND21. All of the shifting patterns listed on the website and my Dakota Digital dash have PRNOD…… can I remove the overdrive from the pattern on screen?

Is there a way to make OD on a 12v switch for say a 46re? That way when in drive I could turn OD on and off and it come up on my screen? Or would I just need to connect it like a 727?

the gear shift ARM on the sensor can be removed from sensor to install it back upside down and it can be programed in the normally way?

This should be automatic with purchase of the VHX system and the BIM unit. Not spending more money to see a letter. Shame!!!! Already spent $1, 000!
