Weirdest thing I ever saw, some dude on headphones answer a bluetooth call with "Hello?... Meow!"

Missed the times when we used to get goods in magazine without any reason at all. It's just a fun purchase moment.

I worked as a train conductor for 5 years, the weirdest stuff I've seen is not safe for the YouTube comment section 😅 (Conductor is the one who operates the doors and checks tickets in the UK)

The most embarrassing thing that's happened to me on a train was more than a decade ago. Was listening to an audio book, got a phone call, disconnected my headphones to take the call as they didn't have a good mic, when I hung up the phone the audio book started playing again and read the line "The more cleavage a woman displays, the less she wants a man to look" on a packed rush hour service. (Book 7 of the Wheel of Time, when Mat meets Queen Tylin.)

In a train in Germany, I witnessed two parents give their 2 toddlers paper...and scissors to just cut up the paper into tiny bits. Tiny bits of paper all over the place. Made no attempt to clean any of it up. Insane.

I found a dead person in the trains restroom.
It was an elderly lady, I assume she had a heart attack while on the toilet.
But being 16 year old and seeing a dead person for the first time ever, unexpectedly, was something I wasn't prepared for.

I once saw someone bring a gator on a train by hiding it in his coat while boarding and when the ticket master was going by and then taking it back out

I don't understand why some old vloggers are hating you/short form content about Japan. You're doing a good job! Maybe they just can't conform to changes or jealous that people enjoy this kind more. 🤷‍♀️

I remember middle school in Taiwan, I saw a magazine series where if you bought all of them you get a 3D printer at the end. Never got it cuz it was pretty expensive but it was so tempting.

I once bawled my eyes out on a train while drinking beer.

Reminds me of good old days in Europe when i was 16 and younger, almost all magazines came with something, especially about gaming, free demo disks, general magazines with all kinds samples, etc
Glad to see they still doing somewhere in the world

I changed into to cosplay on a train once. I was on my way to a cosplay photoshoot, and I put on my wig and boots on the train, and took off my leggings to reveal a skirt

I miss Japan. I only got to be on shore for a few months from 2001 to 2004, those months made me feel more at home than anywhere in the USA.

I'm hoping that I can go back, so I'm attempting to learn to read/write hiragana/katagana and some Japanese from DuoLingo. I don't feel like I'm learning enough fast enough though.

Once - on a train ride from Norwich to Cambridge in uniform, I had to sew up a rip in the leg of my trousers. Distracted, I accidentally sewed my trousers to the seat.

I love your content, by the way - thank you!

I used to really love magazines about video games. Especially prior to high-speed internet, they were awesome.

The internet has kinda taken over, but I still enjoy cracking open a magazine when I'm out or if I happen to be traveling. Sometimes they give me a pleasant surprise! I guess it's hard to articulate, but they remind me of simpler times when things weren't quite as fast-paced.

Getting gifts in magazines reminds me of when we would get computer games in cereal boxes. That's neat

I remember buying rock/metal magazines just for rare patches, pins and posters.
