Thank you, I have tried to explain this to so many people. We as humans are gassed after running 100m-200m. I have had people say a fit human could do it, no they couldn’t they’d have a better shot than most, but T rex was built to outlast its prey. He was build for distance not speed and he could do 200m comfortably and wait for us to get tired.

You can outrun T Rex, only if you sprinted, but you can't hold that sprint for a long time, T Rex is the best long distance runner of any animal, it can run up to 12mph, but can keep that same pace consistent, and keep moving 12mph for many hours, thanks a foot system found in both of the T Rex's feet, called the Arctometatarsals, found in only 3 groups of dinosaurs, the Troodontids, the Ornithomimids, and the Tyrannosaurids, animals with these kinds of feet are evolved and fully adapted to be the best long distance runners of the entire animal kingdom.

i also forgot to mention that 12mph is actually a T Rex's comfortable walking speed.
