I wonder if you can bolt the bracket directly to the water port. Do the bolt holes match up with the bracket?

You can mount it the other way, with the bolt under the waterport. THe way you have it mounted is for when you want the waterport hanging out of the car

I think the hole is for a padlock so it’s harder to steal.
