M35 Stagea - JATCO RE5R05A Auto-gearbox Service and Fault codes (WALOB 035)

Had a strange day with the auto box in the Stagea, starting with some very hard late shifts, then later in the day lost drive in D and tiptronic. I could drive about a KM before needed to stop turn it off and wait for a minute.

When I eventually made it home Nissan Datascan II came back with the following codes thrown by the TCM P1759 FR/B Solenoid Fnct and P1687 (if you have experience with these codes please comment below).

Research suggests both codes can be caused by electrical faults and or Contaminated ATF & Blocked filter.

In this episode I cover how to service the gearbox, including the filter. Mine was sediment and filter was blocked. I didn't remove the valve body, but saw no signs of damage to the harness.

It's diving much better since and seems to be holding gears ok now too. I am going to be driving like a nun again though, I won't be dynoing any time soon, or racing the first few rounds of Dakota Raceway :(

On the plus side, a week before this happened I secured every required to do a 5 speed AWD Manual swap!!! Won't have the part for a while nor the time to fit it, but very excited nonetheless!
