I am admittedly not a huge fan of heavy rock, but deep purple, metallica and others have illustrated a beauty when they combine the genre backed by a symphonic orchestra. 2cellos went the other direction and played heavy rock to back two of the most talented contemporary cellists. Either way, for me, the combination makes heavy rock much more palatable and enjoyable. (Confession, I dfo very much like "whole lotta love" by zeppelin anyway, but not the originals of several of 2cellos rockers that I enjoy their celloistic interpretations.
