Traditional Pottery In The Philippines. March 2023.

In this video, we take a closer look at the traditional terracotta pots in the Philippines. Terracotta pottery has been an integral part of the Filipino culture for centuries and remains a popular form of art and craftsmanship to this day. This factory is located in Liloan, Cebu, Philippines.

Skilled artisans mold, shape, and fire each pot by hand. The clay used is sourced locally and undergoes a rigorous preparation process to ensure it's ready for the pottery wheel.

With expert precision, the potter spins the wheel, shaping each pot with their hands, and adding intricate designs and patterns. Once complete, the pots are left to dry in the sun before being fired in a traditional kiln. The firing process gives the pots their signature earthy colors and strengthens the clay.
