After watching and studying each of the concepts you describe in your videos I can re-watch French films like, "The Connection" and it's as though new life has been breathed into them. I comprehend more of the subtleties of former hidden meaning in the dialogue. I'm majoring in French and can't begin to explain how much I appreciate the time and effort you put into thoroughly describing each idea. Thank you.

I have only watched 2 of your videos and it helps me a lot. You teach more than other people (teacher or friends) are willing to teach! I'll spend more time to learn from you! Hope you will make more french videos!

Our B&B host in Nice use Voila in almost every sentence. Thanks for leaving the words up on the screen longer for us to read. Keep them coming!!!

Hi Fred,
I love your videos, they're really good.
Also, I'd love to see a video on the uses of the word "alors".
It seems that is has many different uses in the spoken French and some of them are not very clear in my opinion.
Many thanks for all your help!

Yes, very interesting talk or explanation on how voila is used.  So many instances to use.  Thanks a lot for the video.
I watched every second of it.  Thanks!  I only intend to learn travelers' French, which I might use next Sept in France.

Great video! Most of your videos are about in depth language analysis, but do you think you could do a broader video on how to learn language - like techniques to learn things, how you became fluent in English, how to maximise language learning through immersion while abroad etc merci!

Fred!

super video mec, youre doing a great service...ive been watching these shows les secret des balls and le visiteur du futur to train my french ear and ive noticed they say l'air and calé a decent amount and i cant get a good grasp on their usage.. for example "mais je pense qu'il est parti prendre l'air histoire de pas avoir trop la tete dans le cul" or "vous avez l'air hyper calé sur les aliens!"...maybe this is too specific for a video but if you have the time for a short explanation that would be awesome... thanks again for the videos!

Cool. I 'learned' French in Highschool. We were taught voila has a traditional meaning but also the meaning of the English word, here. In English we use here almost like a verb. If I smoke a cigarette and pass it to you, I then say, "Here." Just like you explain.
