No one wants to say the name of the elephant in the room - Hezbollah.

As long as Hezbollah controls the seaport, the military, the police, the politicians, the economy, there will be NO change in Lebanon. Politicians will be replaced by other Hezbollah controlled politicians so the cycle of corruption and incompetency will continue. Beirut’s recovery will be very, very slow since NGOs and foreign governments will be reluctant to donate any significant $$$ and materials knowing that the relief will eventually end up in the pockets of Hezbollah.
