This video explains what do with works by more than one author or editor, both in your Works Cited List and in the text of your paper, including when to use "et al." It's based on the 7th edition of the MLA Handbook for Writers of Research Papers.

2-3 authors:
Works Cited list (0:31)
in-text (1:01)
3 or more authors:
Works Cited list (1:09)
in-text (1:28)

it should simply be illegal for multiple authors to write a single book....

great video however the fact that you decided to use "De Wolf" as an example is quite confusing in that it is not a common fist or last name. being that it is my first time using an in-text citation I am left to wonder weather the authors first & last name must be written before et al or just the last name only followed by et al. now I must do further research regarding this matter. Do not be confused your video was very informative as well as helpful and I would be the fist to recommend it to anyone as a reference. respectfully I ask that next time you use a more common name like John Smith.

I have a question, if you're writing an annotated bibliography and one source as 4 authors then how would you address them in the annotation?
