the issue is that with crossplay enabled, neither pc nor console players can friend each other. this is a real, "is it plugged in?" kind of solution no one (with a full brain and real problem with the social tab) needs right now

Turning on cross play did it for me. On the PC version I had it disabled.

Turning on crossplay worked for me too, even though the people I was adding and I were all on PC
