Nothing special here, just some thoughts on the dungeon, the encounters, loot, all that good stuff. Lemme know how you're feeling about it because feedback is all over the place.

I like that this dungeon actually takes place in a "real" place. It feels like half the dungeons take place in a dream-scape or surreal alt dimension. It's very satisfying to look at the spire on the horizon, enter through the big underground cavern, climb to the top, then plunge back down into the depths of the facility. That progression felt a lot more narratively satisfying than the sort of unstructured journey through the Prophecy dungeon for example.

"When I do end up getting this bow, sometime in 2024, we will investigate."
I felt that in my core.

I think my favorite part about the Dungeon is that “Whether we wanted it or not, we’ve stepped into a war with some wires on Mars.”

Something I really appreciate about this dungeon is the sense of progression conveyed by the environment. I love that you can see where you started. It's one of the reasons I love Vow so much

So this is hands down my favorite dungeons they’ve released and I couldn’t figure out why until I watched this video. It’s the short mechanics required to hit a dmg phase. If I’m going to have a short dmg phase with little to no-room for error during the phase, I don’t want to spend 5-6 minutes getting there. This dungeon is short, quick, to the point. I absolutely love that.

My favorite part of the dungeon is the sense of progression. First time I ran it I spent 10+ minutes on the opener, but now I can get it done in less than 5. Feels good to see how much I’ve improved

The one thing that I felt this dungeon did better than duality for me at least is that it didn't drag on for too long when getting from encounter to encounter unlike in duality where it feels as though I'm going to travel to Japan by foot

Pro tip: the shatter pulse from shadebinder super will activate any nodes as long as you have the arctrician buff. You can start DPS for the final boss in like 10 seconds

Dungeon is fun. the harpy boss reskin doesn’t bother me at all, the mechanics allow the encounters to go by faster once you memorize the locations, weapons are great (would’ve preferred if the seventh seraph weapons were craftable tho) armor is S tier, and the lore implications are big. 7/10 for me

It's definitely the easiest dungeon up until the final boss, which after Duality, I'm ok with. I don't want to say I hate Duality, but there's just so much random BS that can kill you in Duality that the change of pace is welcome for the time being, at least for me. Being able to speed up the mechanical side of things is certainly appreciated as well, having to wipe in Duality is such a pain because it takes so long to set yourself up for a damage phase. I just wish heavy spawned more frequently in the final boss room because holy hell my brother and I ran around for 10 minutes at one point killing ads for heavy and we got nothing and just ended up using specials for damage.

I feel like this dungeon was designed specifically for solo players and with future strand in mind. Like how big some of the rooms are like swinging through there like spiderman next expansion is going to be so fun. That final boss fight as a solo player (granted i was under leveled) Took HOURS for me to get down and do. So very fun in that aspect.

For me it's my favorite dungeon ever. No bullshit, no over the top mechanics, no absurd wipe timers. I'm playing to enjoy myself, not to play "task management simulator" trying to keep track of 5 different things happening at once. At no point does this dungeon feel like it's purposefully slowing me down, it doesn't impose a rythm. You do the encounters however you feel like doing them, no rush, and no headache. Short, to the point, enjoyable, good looking. All things Duality lacks.

Edit: I also completely overlooked that experience in the dungeon is extremely rewarding, unlike in many other dungeons, where you can't do anything to speed up the encounters.

I really liked it, love the short bursts of damage and I also like how kinda like Deep Stone Crypt there's a story built in; you discover the site of the dungeon, make your way inside, reboot power in order to climb your way up to the top where you have a showdown with the boss. You then find out the true objective of the vex's siege, and rush to the main reactor where you face the wyvern, who appears thematically and gameplay-wise to be pretty pissed at your arrival. Also, cowboy hat.

I think it was Salt that was saying this is the first dungeon that you can truly master because there's almost 0 element of RNG to the mechanics. It's just about remembering where all the nodes are, even in the final boss where the two starting ones are random, as long as you know the path from there you can hit the zoomies. I think that's really cool.

I really like the feeling of mastery in the encounters, especially in memorizing the positions of each wire node and figuring out the most efficient way to hit them all. Something about optimizing the movement there really gets my brain clicking. Extremely satisfying to go through it super fast

Did some damage testing of my own for the GL. Each grenade does about 0.625x the damage of a normal grenade. So if you land both you'll be doing about 25% more damage than another grenade launcher with the same roll.

I enjoy the transition of Datto no longer wearing glasses and seeing Jez wearing glasses 😊

In my blind run with Aksula it wasn’t hard to get the hang of the puzzle mechanics, but the bosses were a hefty challenge (given we were underleveled) this dungeon is really accessible and enjoyably short and sweet. The environments are really pretty too.

I just completed the first two encounters with my brother (we stopped at the final boss because we had other stuff to do so can’t comment on that yet) but I gotta say I really loved it. I was always really upset D1 never had a raid, and this in a lot of ways was the spiritual successor to that. I think the story being told here (that of ascending up a tower) was SO cool. And the dungeon had an awesome name to match. Lastly, doing dungeons with just two people at all times (which is what me and my brother usually do) makes them a lot of fun. I think it always adds the right amount of zest to all of them. Right now, I think this and Grasp might be my two favorites.

Definitely enjoying this dungeon and first time running a dungeon again for more than just the pinnacle loot. It's quick in a good way that encounters and down time between them don't drag on which has been kind of an issue IMO with the more recent activities released recently.
